Edgar Allan Poe (January 19, 1809 – October 7, 1849) was an American poet, short story writer, editor and critic and one of the leaders of the American Romantics. He is best known for his tales of the macabre and his poems, as well as being one of the early practitioners of the short story and a progenitor of Gothic fiction in the United States. Poe died at the age of 40, the cause of his death a final mystery.

and the one and only:Vincent Leonard Price, Jr. (May 27, 1911 – October 25, 1993), born in St. Louis, Missouri, was an American film actor. He is most well remembered for his roles in a series of low-budget horror films where his distinctive voice and seriocomic attitude were well used. In such films, his tall physique and polished urbane manner made him something of an American counterpart to the older Boris Karloff.

My favorite is The Mummy a 1932 horror film starring Boris Karloff as an Ancient Egyptian prince, Im-Ho-Tep, whose mummy is inadvertently revived by a member of an archaeological expedition and who, using the name Ardath Bey, prowls Cairo seeking the reincarnation of the soul of his ancient lover, Princess Ankh-es-en-amon.
